G'day All,
Hoping to get out next week & try my new crevicing pump & do a little panning.
Was looking at the Turon River where Tanwarra Creek enters it near Sofala or Mitchell's Creek at Sunny Corner ( never been to Sunny Corner)
Any past experience or suggestions welcome ?

If you have a 4x4 the Turon river would be good. There is a free camp groung on Turondale road at the bridge where it crosses the Turon river. There are a lot of bedrock bars and crevices running across the river on the Bathurst side of the bridge.
Right side of picture. As well as the Sofala side of the bridge but a 4x4 is a must if you want to drive up along the river bed.
You can drive about 5 km along the river bed on the Sofala side and about 1km on the Bathurst side.
On google maps enter GoodLuck Station Turondale Road. The bridge is about 2 km along the road from there.
We spend 10 days camped there last year. No tiolet or showers but still a very nice place to camp and fossick.
We camped on the left side of the bridge where the green tree line is on the picture below.

This is looking from the Sofala side of the dridge, you can see the gravel road leading off to the right in the picture, if you follow that there is a very nice area to camp about 75 metres in.
