A Trommel/shaker screen I built many moons ago. Note the trommel is pulley/vee belt driven from a drive shaft through the trommel.
The trommel was fitted with an internal reverse scroll. ie: the scroll was driving opposite to feed, which gave the material more retention time, washing clay/etc before feeding out the end.
The device was driven with a small Briggs & Stratton engine.
