I just want to fly into Cue International Airport and do some detecting. Now what time is the next flight? What flight delayed? Unbelievable!

Mackka, catch a ride with the RFDS, & be sure to take your detector as carry-on luggage & swing it all the way on the 4km walk into town. you should pick up a fair bit that the last FIFO Tourists dropped on their way out :goldnugget:

Yes that 4k walk could be quite rewarding. There's been a lot of gold come out of that area but there's an awful lot of rubbish to pick you way through. Of course that just means that any gold that was left there is still there.... :)

Sorry Goody, but that is an actual name of girls and not as you assume a derogatory comment.
I am for females taking up whatever they want to improve their mental wellbeing, God knows I need help.
I would consider it a privilege to help a female ( no age discrimination) to turn a piece of old wood into a beautiful vase.
I am getting older and if I can pass on any knowledge, however, miniscule, that may help the future ofthis earth, so be it.

This morning I got the call from my brother Merv. He's left Busselton and heading this way so the trailer work had to come to an end.

After installing a rattrap vent to help control dust entry, I loaded the inside and slipped the quads in.

Once it was hooked onto the high towbar on the bus it was looking a bit low in the back. A quick incision with the oxy soon sorted that out :)

I've attached a roll out awning to the side and bolted a jockey wheel on to save my back when hooking it up.

Now with everything inside and the trailer sitting level we'll call that done..... :)

Lookout gold, here we come.....

Sorry to put a downer or two on it, but those quads will make a mess of those ramps in no time.... And welding across the drawbar is not good either... But I do hope it holds and you have fun....

I enjoyed your 'Travel Blogs' you have made in the past... Keep them coming MB... Safe Travels.. :Y:

Thanks for the warning LoneWolf. Yes the ramp will be a bit messy real soon but then just about everything we have ends up that way when introduced to our red soil and dust. If you mean they'll damage the ramps, I don't think that will happen. I'm quite confident in the things I build making it the distance.

Yes welding across the highest stress point is looking for trouble but I think I have it covered. My welds are quite secure and I've added a small gusset above, bridging the weld, to help relive the immediate stress point. I wouldn't have done it on a heavily loaded trailer but our entire load is quite minimal so I think it'll take it ok. In the worst case it'll develop a crack and then I'll have to deal with it ;)
