That is contrary to what we were taught and every service station should have a manual on sight attesting to that fact. Well at least in SA although when I started I was trading Mobil, and they had a bloke who came around regularly to test new staff and retrain older staff. All done online these days and I no longer have a password to get in there to see what they currently teach.So we were either given the wrong info or someone else is incorrect. I do know there is a lot of urban myths involving the fuel industry but you just can't convince some people. I shall see if I can get a copy somewhere to post what we were taught.
