That sixpence cleaned up very nicely Silver, I honestly thought the front of the coin looked pretty cooked up, but there you go.

1967 swan pattern $1.00 coin goes for around $3 000 in proof condition RKT,.... a good investment for your birth year.

Went out for just over one hour just after lunch,... S I L V E R,.... straight up(first coin of the hunt too ).

only new it was a sixpence with a young Victoria on it until I got it home for a clean up.

it was only then that I got to find out its date.

Also found this about 8 metres away,... at first I thought it was just a leaf type ornament,.. til I got it out at home for a look,... it was then that it transformed into this.

with a good tooth brushing it then turned into this(better than a dirt covered bit of ornamentation).

Nice to see the Sphinx,... and that looks like the top of a Pyramid sticking up over its back. ,... Nahh, just seen on line, that's it's tail(end of).

and a Rose ?,.. or something ?

not sure what is on the band of the crown ?

Don't know anything about the story of it either ?
But it was a fun quick little hunt before the school run had to happen(that was a rush job too)(ha)
Oh there were also 3 1c pieces but I was just too excited to bother taking pickys of them as well. :lol:
