I liked the way he just casually pulls a nice nugget out of his pocket like it was small change.

Yes a neat promotion for Aussie Gold Hunters...thinks it's on Discovery Channel starting this month.

A good show - seen the first six episodes so far. Nice to see some gold prospectors where you don't
need hundreds of grand worth of equipment to try and emulate!

I have a bad feeiing about this show. I think it will generate a bunch of new prospectors, some of whom will give us all a bad rep, trespassing, leaving holes and rubbish behind, pissing off a lot of people, then realise its not easy and move onto something else, leaving the damage they have done behind them.

Years ago, I helped make a fishing movie, it was supposed to be the big Wednesday of fishing movies, capturing the brotherhood, and culture of land based game fishing. What it did was create a lot of interest, and heaps of people got into it. The ledges we had became more crowded, and probably contributed to the closure of some of the ledges at Jervis Bay, due to rubbish left, injuries sustained, and car break ins.
I don't see much good coming from Aussie prospecting TV shows, better to just watch american dramatized shows.

Hey Davent

You have a really good point, however on the up side there may a few pre-loved, high end and barely used detectors come on the market real cheap ;)

We'll have to wait and see how this pans out  , didn't see too many new truckers on the highway after outback truckers aired, probably called the Turbo effect :8

Cheers
