Here's the young magpie we rescued earlier in the year, can't do anything outside without Eddie wanting to hang out with us :) I've named her Eddie after Eddie McGuire president of the Collingwood football club :D As we all know young magpies sook and I like to stir the pot with Collingwood supporters hence I see Eddie McGuire as a bit of girly sook and how our Magpie came to be named Eddie  :playful:

She's a character no doubt about it :perfect: having a ride in the cab from the shed to the house for a bit of lunch.

Yeah. They tend to have pretty sticky webs. I now know what to expect when I find their webs. At least they are docile, not like those whitetails that run around everywhere once disturbed.

Here's one I befriended just long enough to take a happy pic with today. Under the rim of a pot. Which they seem to love.

Was living in a rough camp and my bed was resting on 4 x 20 lt. drums . When I moved out 6 months later , I was surprised to find about 20 red back spiders under my bed !!!

Australia.... livin life on the edge (every day) :D

After getting the crap pecked out of it by various birds and chickens in the yard this little wood duck ( goose really ) decided it wants to make me its dad and follows me around the garden and house. Almost accidently stepped on it a couple of times. Anyway what do I feed it ? I have tried oats and ground up chicken pellets but it doesn't seem interested.

The adults look like this. The local foxes have been getting stuck into them lately.

Goldfreak, when I get customers with injured natives I pass them onto https://www.wildlifevictoria.org.au/

They have lots of volunteers who care for them, I'm pretty sure they just eat grass and clover.

You should pop those bloody foxes, they cause our natives terrible trouble.

If you are on land suitable for shooting myself or others can help, I hate foxes.

What i have observed with redbacks is the bigger sized ones (maybee female?) Are dosile or try to hide when disturbed.
The smaller/mid sozed ones (males?) Are aggressive/go nuts running around.

Between redbacks and white tails i would rather the redbacks peraonally as they usually keep out of our way, whereas whitetails can be anywhere :8
