Uneven thickness in the plastic could cause you problems, see how it goes :) If you know how to make a foam cutter from a car battery, it will cut the hdpe much better than most tools except power tools / dremel. Be careful not to cut yourself, its slippery stuff!

made this for my wife for when she wakes up out of cigarette butts while drunk this morning it was like domino bricks kept falling over anyway here is a pic

today I built mark 1 of my detecting pick complete with neodymium magnets to speed up getting the nails and junk out of trashy ground , it started as a test to see if I could make the tapered handle holder like a mattock and also how the bends would work out , only zapped it up with arc welder as I wasn't planning on using it but its good enough I will use it ,wish I had of fired the mig up now but any way

I cloned a Garrett sand scoop from a horse feed scoop found on ebay. Drilled 100 or so 10mm holes. Total cost after purchase including postage was $14.95, about a third of the cost of the Garrett.

Yes they are handy bits, I do have one somewhere? Anyhow I hit it with the lighter after this pic and it cleaned up the burrs fine. As long as it scoops up the treasures and exits the sand I'm happy. :)

Nice mate, where do you get the magnets please?

Yep ebay search either Rare earth magnets or neodymium magnets , i probably should have mounted them on the back but i can tell you they work a treat in the garden , they catch old nails and little iron stone pellets real easily.
