Gday all made a couple of items for my other addiction which is archery today a small arrow rack 6 arrows in each tube and a arrow spine test station.I am going old school and shooting wood arrows exclusively from my recurve and longbows, also enjoy making a nice set of matched arrows takes my mind off not being able to get out for a detect cheers Muk.
This weeks project, Livestock Carrier, 980mm long, 90mm wide, 165mm high. Trailers made in pine and meranti, prime mover pine and Blackwood, usual beeswax finish. This one is for sale in classified if anyone is interested.
Great result again. Bit big for the dining table.

We have a new edition to the family, in the form of a little cavoodle pup that the kids have named Buddy. The only problem is that the crappy old gates out the back of the shop to the busy road outside, have a gap underneath just waiting for a puppy to slip under.
With mostly scrap, an old portable arc welder, and some welding rods way past their prime, I spent Saturday knocking up something that blocks the dog from getting under the gates, but moves out of the way when the bolt is lifted and the gates opened for vans and cars to go in and out. It would benefit from a coat of paint, but then it would last longer than the old gates. :lol:

Clever approach, goes to show there's many ways to fix a problem, when I seen the first picture I thought more gravel or a nice concrete trip hazard would do.

The welding unit is a 15amp, but we only have 10amp at the shop. I always preferred a MIG anyway, but haven't had access to one for over 20 years.

I'm ok with that as I'm happy to fix things myself mostly, and if I need material for a job, it gives me greater pleasure if I can cut off some pieces of his old rat hole and use them to fix somewhere else. :lol:
