the main reason mackka is i could not warrant spending 3,4,5 thousand on a metal detector that will more than likely sit in a shed for 10 to 11 months a year (more towards the 11 month mark than the10), as the distance i have to travel to the gold fields is not a weekend jaunt, approximately 6 to 7 hour drive south (warrick) and 9 hour drive north(claremont)

i have read the reviews and watched some vids and for the litlle bit of beep stick that i will i do, i thought it would fit the bill and also compliment the river/creek prospecting that i do

SS ........................ the cost in fuel alone makes it a save up before you do type of activity when distance is involved sadly. Well understood and the reason why I moved onto the gold fields, distance just didn't allow me to do what I loved doing. Now I can literally start to swing the coil from the front door 😉 👍

that's right diginit
nothing like falling out of bed face down in the ground you wish to have a prospect on ,i will not pull up stumps in a permanent manner when i retire diginit as the cook does not like to travel , but i will travel to the areas for the season
fuelled up this morning after doing the weekly shop the sneaky pricks have not got the price of ulp-91 or diesel on there digital price board but it is on the bowsers
ulp 91-- 179.9 per l
diesel --229.9 per l
now how the *##***# can diesel be 50c litre more than ulp
diesel here went up the 20c per litre the next day the cut was lifted(ulp went up later) now it has gone up another 29 c a litre since
i last fuelled up on the 13/10 and it was 200.9 cents a litre so over the last 10 days it has gone up 29 c a litre
no guessing who is getting bent over around here, or is it the same all over the place

the bloke that owns the fish and chip shop said he rang ACCC about it ,and they said we can't be everywhere you know , not really the response you thought you would get with all the big stick talk on the ***** box for weeks before the excise was put back on🤬, seems like all that talk was bull💩
as they say got locked down for dam near 3 years with covid, now with the price of fuel you can not leave the bloody driveway
maybe this should be in the whinge thread but it's here now

With you on that one, filled up Georgetown the other day ULP was $1.75 stopped at Greenvale 250 to 300 K closer to Townsville and was $2.75 a litre. I walked in to check price which was confirmed as correct, walked out and dumped my jerry into tank and drove off . Thieving pricks as they know if your not carrying fuel then most vehicles won't make it to next fuel stop.

hope so dave
i can head out to my mates place and try to learn how to use it ,he has fine gold there (flour gold)
with some of the ground he has there in places it would make the top machines on the market have a cough and a fart
just have to head over there and bury some targets and have a play

still got one of them diginit, don't remember how old it is and still going
it might surprise you mate, the one i have had no trouble keeping the cans or bottles cold, sitting in the car and that was all year round 👍
SS I'm hoping so 🤔 Was yours a compressor model not one of those thermoelectric jobs? Tried them and no chop once ambient temps rise. Being it's a Waeco full compressor model along with the price tag I'm hoping will be good. Have an 80 litre and a 28 litre also but to big for the application, Had the 80 for probably well over 12 years used regularly when I go to the big smoke for supplies and still going strong 👍

a old compressor model diginit and yes the price was up there back then the thermoelectric ones were about half the price but i did not want a pie warmer ,sits in the shed most of the time now
after i said it was still going i thought i better go and plug bloody thing in and see if it still works ,plugged her in threw a can of beer in it went to town about 7:30 got home at about 11 and nice and cold ,so i thought i better drink the beer to make sure it was cold and yep it was😇

You should always double check just to make sure 🍻

When there is a bargain around... ya gotta look at it eh??
As my mate Steven Leptig says, 'you can NEVER have enough fridges Simmo...'!
So with a 60% off sale, a dual zone compressor fridge for $299 instead of $799 from my second favourite store.. RTM!!
Had to do it!!
It works awesome!
Solid as, quiet as a mouse... and keeps the 'Work Ute Essentials' such as water, sunscreen, salads and water melon as cold as a cucumber!! And monitor and control it from ya phone!!
The Accountant will have no probs with this one!!

"Look at the price my Love, how much was the Engel??? Simmo has had his for a whole day and reckons they are the best, my Love?'

LOL, I have the 80 ltr Engle too!!
A 40 ltr Waeco and an 80 Waeco that went in the fire., The Stoney Creek Camper has an 80 EverKool in it.
But for $299.... wow... bargain!
