Haha I was just looking at swags this arvo... Picked up some waders for a song whilst out and about. I like the idea of a fold up cot though, off ground, stable, good cross flow ventilation, just need someone to do me a deal... On the pricey side. Too many hard nights on the dirt, I'm getting soft.

Just picked up a camp cot of ebay. 12 bucks can't go wrong, gunna buy a A frame tent (old school) 25 bucks on amazon.com
Perfect set up for 1 man.

8) .... Can't be worse than the swag, 2 nights in last trip I was ready to burn it. Maybe a tent and a double cot. ... The biggest hiccup these days is sobriety, the days of concrete pillows are over for me. I'd like to book accommodation for the trip but with the prospect of a job change still up in the air I can't commit to days. Worst case scenario a few vodkas will erase any looming doubts.

Today I bought a Hark Gas Smoker and outdoor oven. Want to get into doing jerky and smoking other meats, anyone know of a good place to buy wood chips for it.

Go to a Apple orchids and ask for the offcuts...... They are a great all rounder wood for Smoking

Just got a large yabby pump and an extra seal for $48 at Rays, All fishing gear is currently 30% bargain.

Put the order in for Kulkyne outback after having a good gander at one in the camping shop and going direct through the company because I couldn't get a pre order. Feeling well satisfied I then proceed to do a review search.... Hope they have improved their dispatch game. I'll do a review once it gets here if anyone is interested.

I scored this book today hunting around an old book shop. Published in 1973.
It has some great maps, lots of areas I haven't seen on current maps.

Very interesting Lambs73. Might have to get a bit of info off you out of that book. Interesred in the area on the front cover around Crookwell. Areas im looking at are Laggan, Golspie, Bolong River, Grabben Gullen, Peelwood. Anything in there about those places?
