Does anyone head out this way? The mine was part owned by my mates grandfather and some photos or samples, whatever, would be an absolute favour if anything can be helpful. I'd love to know the info of my grandfathers and chase it but it seems I have a massive struggle to find out anything.

I thought it would be a nice suprise to him if I could get something and he would appreciate it soo much, he is very kind hearted, though may be heavy on the ol beer or two.. :lol:

Try a book in the libuary called The gold fields of North East Victoria ,I think ; large book and heaps of pics of old gold areas.

I've got that book around here somewhere and I can never find the b!oody thing when I want it. Best bet might be to try the Bright and District Historical Society, I'll bet they have local info that hasn't been digitised yet.

If love mire recent things if possible, we have most of that info already on the mine and he has some documents of his grandfathers from the mine too.. a bit of soil or modern photo would top it off if someone's not too far from the area

There has to be gold there too worth digging

I think my mate Dennis Brown worked it for a while...with Brian Cuffley.
