I always get a laugh out of these signs I pass on the way up to Qld, out near Stanthorpe.
How the hell did anyone get that far without knowing that?

As long as you've got your State Forest permit detecting is allowable in NSW State Forests
Pity National Parks don't get some similar signage. It appears to be a bit of a play on their NO EVERYTHING signage :lol:

I agree with you mbasko, the National Parks mob up here in Qld are just the same, you can do anything you want to as long as you don't have any fun.

... Yes you will see them around Stanthorpe area Because the Area Employs a lot of 457 Visa Workers. And Back-Packers... These visa workers are picked up at Brisbane Airport and Transported down to Stanthorpe to work in the Farms(Strawberry) all sorted buy a 'Contractor'... They then apply for a International Licence , to 'Drive'' on the roads around town.... And God Help You if you ever come across one of these on the road...stay WELL back from them... they are Shockers... Many are Wiped out from turning right or left straight into a B Double or worse, a Family going on Holliday. ... Im Not Kidding .. they are BAD NEWS.... had several near death experiences with these Idiots...Sad but True... :/ LoneWolf...

Those signs are becoming part of life in rural Queensland. But there is a good reason, is to try and stop the road carnage caused by mainly backpacking farm workers driving on wrong side of our roads, causes a lot of deaths each year. It is crazy that they can be issued with OZ licenses so easily.
As Lonewolf says sad but true. Our town lost a female young driver a couple months back, just getting a start on life came around the corner on highway, bang, head on a car driven by a young French backpacker on wrong side of road. One life taken the other to spend how long with the guilt? Every year same sad story becoming more common place.
Yes, I got stuck behind one the other day(Stanthorpe).. 40kmh in a 100 zone then moves to the right(wrong side of road) to let us all pass lucky no one was travelling the other way... Too many lives lost from these 'People'... The Red Centre is another spot to watch out for them too
