Its good having a nice camp to go 'home' to.

Would of got a bit crowded up there then Simmo. Carol and I prefer a less of a crowd.

Cheers

Doug

I think there were 10,000 at Maitland Downs! We only had a few at our camp.

This is mine, a bit of a work in progress but still usable.
Is a Avan weekender that has aircon, trouble is it isnt much of a dirt road trailer so I am building a 100x50 chassis with shackle springs, 10 electric brakes, parallel bearings 80L water tank etc.

Tow car is a 2 door wrangler that pretty much goes anywhere and hopefully I can mod the teardrop to follow it.

Well I cant upload photos, how do I resize them with just a phone so I can upload?

Few pics from our recent move across the nullarbor to Tassie. Spent 3 months getting here and followed the south coast wherever we could. Loved every minute and already wishing funds went far enough to keep going across the north coast over winter. One day...........

No snow here. Glamping last weekend. Sure makes life easier with the kids..

The main entry to the camp site

The flashest set up I've seen for a long time. The bathroom on the right even had a porcelain wash hand basin. The dunny was a proper flushing porcelain, very white toilet.Even a clothes dryer.

The necessary TV. And much required asset for toasting marsh mellows on. Didn't really need the heat aspect of it as overnight only dropped to 23*C. Although it felt colder under the mozzie dome. Mainly because of the wind which had me wandering back to the beach in the middle of the night to see if the boats were still there. Wish I'd turned on my anchor light.

Last play in the water.

Heading home.

Technically not a camp site but it is known as camp and I thought as the winter chill is still in the air some tropical pics may send some daydreaming. Two days last week spent here fixing plant and cars. Had a bit of a Hawaiian feel to it. That's what blue skies and coconut palms will do I guess.

In the pic along the beach you can just make out the fish traps - big long walls along the top of the reef designed to trap fish as the water retreats off the top of the reef. Probably the safest way to catch fish as the place is renowned for sharks. So much so a shark jaw is a welcoming totem at the airport. The fish traps are also visible on the reef in the aerial view of the camp.

Looks like you're doing it tough! Much jealousy from Tassie.

Yep, it's pretty darn good. Can't say it's all beer and skittles but it's a load of them. :D
