How do you find the Jeep Shep? I've always like the look of them.
They haven't had the best rap for a while now.
I will admit that I was pretty worried when I bought it as well. Bought it as there was no other swb with solid axles that I could fit my stuff in.
Mine has been brilliant, have only owned it for 2 years but have done 80000km mostly in the bush for almost no issues. It now has
130000km on the clock and still drives like a new car. The starter died at about 100k and I had a cam angle sensor plug fail.
Genuine mopar parts from seppo land are stupid cheap ( genuine starter for under $100)
Where it excels is in the bush, I have never driven a car that has so much stability on side angles and it climbs like a goat.
I hate getting out of the jeep and into my work landcruiser.
Also my mrs liked driving it so much that she traded her challenger in on a new grand Cherokee with3.0 and 8 speed box.
That car has been outstanding as well and she is currently driving it around Australia for the second time in 12 months.
So in short I am very happy with the jeeps, its just a shame that the dealer network is rubbish however I am happy to maintain them myself and parts are very cheap. There were more JK wranglers built then all the kingswood models put together
