yup . that was a gradual slope down to the pylons before but it looks like a 5 - 6 foot deep hole there now.

Back in the late eighties a similar hole was gouged out at the Warri bridge on the Kings Highway and a few months later an opportunist official from the department in charge of roads and bridges documented that it was caused by dredges. How long before this is blamed on illegal dredging?
