Under the Qld fossicking act, it says only hand tools including shakers. I can't find a definition for a shaker. Anyone know? Sieve? Cradle?

Thanks for the info. Pretty limited. I am wondering if a hand pump/ dredge would be allowed. I tried getting info them the mines dept and his answer was basically anything that does not have a motor or other means or powering it. To be honest, I would do less damage if I could run a small high banker on site rather then removing bucket fulls of dirt, if all other regs are followed. I can understand their wants but they haven't put any thought into it.
