just an observation mate, the sd2100's current value with extras $1100 - $1400 sd2200v2 $1300 - $1900 i would expect current market value to be around $600 + depending on extras and service history/mods and whoes made them

Stay firm on your price and drop later on if needs be. The sd2000 is highly modifiable and a cool project for most punters who are keen but price shy......e.g me!

Spottedgum the SD2000 is a brilliant PI machine first built in 1995 and worth at least $1000 to $1300 the main difference between it and the SD2200D is the lack of automatic ground balance, however it will handle the mineralised ground on the goldfields and has been known to find lots of gold. It's an excellent choice as a first detector.

Whereas the GTI 2500 is a VLF machine that can't handle the mineralised ground that we have tried it on in the goldfields around Warwick, it's only good for parks and the beach and is worth $1500 brand new or about $700 to $900 on today's market used dependant on condition and accessories offered.

My advice would be to hang onto the PI machine get out on the goldfields and find an ounce of the good stuff in order to get the $1300.
