Out was out shooting many years ago at Wattle Flat on a mates property and actually had a large roo shape up to me, couldn't believe what I was seeing, needless to say he didn't win the fight.

@ Jack....Lmao!

Spring time and the Skippy's are really active, feeding up on the new growth and....umm....yeh, you know what.

I always make a point while travelling around the gold, not to drive early morning or dusk.
If I cant avoid that, I try to sit behind a B-Double to catch his vortex, save some fuel and let him mow them down for me.

Have had some really close calls in the past and as others who have, will know, its not much fun with hot coffee in the lap.

As Mick says, they can be really aggressive this time of year.....best leave em be.

If you stop next to a mob in a vehicle, all the worse.
They might think its you who skittled their brother last week!

Regards

Thers about ten that use our place as a breeze way every morning and night, bullvye tends to get narkie at them but other than that they just eat the grass and shat every where
Some of the males even look like they abuse steriods and spend their days in the gym, big buggers

Let me just say that I haven't pulled a trigger in 15 years, just cant bring myself to shoot an animal now.

Good advice - in fact excellent advice.

Had a roo commit suicide on the front of my car on the Stuart Hwy. Flat spotted all 4 tyres to the metal. I was very lucky that I kept it straight and did not end up the usual roll over at high speed fatality.

I saw 3 of them having a biff out at Stuart Town, I just kept to myself and didn't eye them off too much as I did not want their attention........ 3 against 1 would not be a fair fight. :( They were so big 1 would have smashed me......

Yes Stevo, I'm the same, haven't fired a shot in 20yrs. Seen a herd of deer (at least 15) on the way to work the other day, back in my younger days I would have had a freezer full of venison from that lot. The boss has a dingo problem and is going to supply me with a 243 but I don't know If I could use it, won't know until the time comes.
:) Mick

to bad if anyone wants to actually hear the sounds being made by the roo's!
