Spacex CRS 20 resupply mission to the ISS at 2.50pm NSW time. This is the last mission for this contract also the last Dragon capsule version 1 mission. The 3rd Dragon to make the trip 3 times.

Next contract will use Dragon V2. Some will be new cargo variants and others will be stripped down Crew dragons as they will only be used once with crew onboard.

The Falcon 9 that missed the landing on OCISLY last flight had no malfunction. Wind was outside the mission parameters so it decided to soft land in the ocean and not risk damaging the ship.

This landing was in the strongest winds ever for a Falcon 9 booster landing. From Elon on twitter... the lost booster at last landing had the parameters set too harsh. Today's landing was a test to see if it could handle stronger winds. Lesson learnt, adjustments made... Move on. It's the Spacex way. Push the envelope to the point of failure, adjust, improve, repeat.

After the failure of Starship SN1, They stripped SN2 down to another tank, pressure test rather than a static fire as SN1 was meant to be. Why fit all the controls systems, thrusters etc etc until they can make a vessel that survives the pressure test?. Engineers had concerns about SN1 but didn't tell Elon. He has now told them that they must share any concerns with him. SN2 pressure tests should happy any minute. SN3 is already under construction.

After Boeing's Starliner anomalies, they now have to go through over a million lines of computer code. Probably put them back a year.

Looks like Spacex will be the first private company to take humans into space.

It was a successful launch, they're testing out a new crew capsule and it was a test launch in preparation to take modules up to build a new space station.
