It is hard to get up to date info. I use a couple of apps and twitter. The 2nd tweet there gave me enough encouragement to check the live stream sites. LOL Actually I was at rehab in the Hydro pool and got out early to watch it live on my phone. I ended up with half the other patients and Physios looking at it over my shoulder. 
Usually there would be several videos posted by the several science/space launch groups I follow of the failed launch but nothing so far.

In more local space news. We may have rockets launching from the NT within a year. Luckily it will be private companies and not the government because then it would take decades to get off the ground. Pun intended. .

OH... For the night owls... The SpaceX Falcon 9 launch SpX CRS-13 will be just after 2.20 AM in the morning NSW time. Remembering that the First stage and the Dragon capsule are "flight proven" which means they have both flown into space on previous missions. This is a resupply mission to the ISS and NASA must be pretty confident in Spacex to re fly previously used equipment.
The usual live launch links for SpaceX posted above will get you in the picture. I am currently clearing off our back deck to put the home gym that has been under the house for 12 years up. Getting back into the exercise. So I may be still awake to see it live.

Well I didn't stay up to see the live launch but it all went as planned. SpaceX has the best coverage. Watch the data in he top right corner of the screen. The accelleration is mind blowing. In one minute it is over 7 kilometers high, at a speed of just over 1000 kmh.

The SpaceX launch used a first stage that has already flown on a previous mission and the Dragon capsule has made a supply run to the ISS before. Pretty cool.

There will be a lauch of a Russian Spyuz rocket in just under an hour. 1820 nsw time. It will be taling 3 astronauts and 1 cosmonaut to the ISS

Not the best photos but cant find my other ones since photobucket went psyco, I used to like taking photos of the ISS when it went passed and managed to get a couple with the Space shuttle hanging off the bottom a couple of times.

It's ON! After stories circulating that the launch of Musk's Roadster to Mars was just a joke. Musk has now confirmed via Instagram that it is in fact a reality. A few pics of the Roadster being mounted inside the rocket's nose cone.

The Falcon 9 went vertical on the launch stand last night and people noticed it has no landing legs. This rocket has flown before and will be soft landed into the ocean. I am not sure of the reason for this. The Japanese launch is first followed a couple of minutes later by the Falcon.
