Out with the Rocket today. Started really slow but just as Rocket was leaving I found an untouched part of the site. The ring and bangle are 925 silver and the ring HAD a really nice amethyst stone in it. I managed to drop it down the sink. I'll try retrieve it in the morning. The earring is a junker and a surface find.
Great hunting mate, some nice old silver jewellery there. Bummer about the stone, hopefully you can retrieve it.
I dropped about a 25ct Zircon into the wash tub at Inverell one time while showing someone, I hate losing gems, doh....... Never found it again either.
This morning I finished my stint of night shifts for this week and dragged my tired ass up n down the beach for couple of hours.
The Deus picked up the staple 4-6 inches down and I was happy with that depth on such a small piece.
G'Day Ramjet,
Some nice goldies there mate, a rusty staple down around 6" is good going/hearing, just about to head out for an afternoon swing myself.
Cheers, SinHof.
Well the Rocket has done it again! He managed to sniff out an untouched site that looks like being a sweet honey hole. It's a good day out when ya bring home more silver than copper coins. My first buckle of this type. It is engraved and may have been gilded.
