Nice photos Kathy  So much water pours out of these mountain ranges.. Should certainly give the creeks and rivers a good flush out!
My mate & i fish up around your area pretty often, might have let them and the rivers settle down for a while now tho i reckon :)

Ahh righto man cool. I was gonna dig in a creek at Tecoma last year just to see what's over that side of the hill

Catch up for a dig sometime if you want man, send me a pm

Hey Kathy,
Ferny creek recorded 51.8mm yesterday. My local creek (Monbulk creek) is crankin. Just no gold this side of the mountain :/ It doesn't take much to transform these little creeks up in the hills. Nice bush block you've got there, my boys wouldn't want to come inside :)

Cheers for the offer atomrat, i dont have much experience with small alluvial/gem side of fossicking but i am keen to learn.. might flick you a pm sometime in the near future for a dig if you dont mind a tag along. I did grab a bucket of gravels from ferny creek in tecoma earlier this year, more so out of curiosity & to practice my panning while having a suss of the local creeks.. found a hell of a lot of black sands in my pan but that was all :/
Also sorry for getting off topic kathy, a trully beatiful part of the country you live in up that way :)

As you can see the height water levels got to by the debris left behind.
Amazing difference in just 48 hours.
The rise and fall time frame is short lived ;)

Nice looking creek i know where id be digging...
We have debris 20 foot plus .... funny when you go driving 6months later and there still stuck up there...ive seen tourists getting selfies with log jams 20foot up...danger danger!
