Rain brings the Gold ??

Hi All,
Heading to Tamborra/Hill End this long weekend. On my last trip a local told me THE RAIN BRINGS THE GOLD UP...... any truth to this or an old wifes tales.

Bit of truth in it. After the flooding you will find in some bends of river or creek flood gold. That is a gold that been just deposited by the flood and is sitting right on the surface.
