Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone could recommend any good gold detecting dvd's to watch and where I could purchase them. Prefer for the dvd to be Australian made however, I will have a look at anything. New to the game and would'nt mind having a look at the way it should be done. Prefer to watch rather than read, sinks in easier! Saying that tough, any recommendations on books would be greatly appreciated also.Thank you in advance.

Cheers Keano

Keano....Suggest you watch some of the vids on U Tube.

Worth watching....'Shane Oz Goldrush" 'Minelab Gold' 'Red Dog Gold' 'GoldHounds'

Very little BS in those vids but a lot of useful information plus entertainment.

Stay safe Hotrocks

Sean from Busted knuckles is a straight shooter in his youtube videos and also have a look at Levi from Tassie Boys prospecting who got a fair bit of gold in the last 2 videos.

There are many worth watching.

The nugget magnet , NQExplorers ,West Oz adventures and The Outback detectorists are very interesting ,too.

Also have a look atPhase Technical for some really good educational detecting videos showing you how to use your equipment with a lot of good advice.

Agree; all those mentioned mostly all great viewing, goldhounds was awesome, real shame they stopped posting, on another note; 3 more months of this s... i will be a candidate for a straight jacket, gritting at the teeth to get some detecting done and could be months 8.(

Couldn`t agree more , Ironrock.

Especially with the weather being nasty today in Victoria and not being able to go outside , isolation is already getting long in the tooth.

I may get a chance to have a swing over one of my paddocks tomorrow ,but it just isn`t the same as going for a proper wander in the scrub.

Some of the youtubers have slowed down with their videos and are starting to run out of material to post.

I don`t think Chris at Vogus has had a chance to get a new set of scales to find out the real weight of his recent gold finds after he found out his scales were dodgy ,but he is still putting up some videos. It just doesn`t appear to be as often.

When this all passes , there will be an onslaught of prospectors hammering their spots and all the youtubers will start posting again.
