It may be my imagination but all he stuff my wife and daughter order comes a lot quicker than mine 8.( but there does seem to be a trend , all their parcels are relatively big, mostly shoebox size or bigger, mine are nearly all large envelope size . So is Auspost delivering all the big stuff and allowing the smaller stuff to just stack up untill it becomes a nuisance.

Or am I just a suspicious old prick that doesn't believe very much of anything "official" anymore

xcavator, they said that the posties are now also delivering small parcels which puts more of a burden on them. Just think. A few years back they were loving it. Letter deliveries had gone down a lot due to electronic comms and all that. Now they are working their butts off.

So it appears that the tracking system for Auspost is not very reliable,I received an email to say that my parcel was delayed in Sydney yesterday.Today the Xterra turns up on my doorstep from Bendigo. It had been in Bendigo since the 16th September, tracking was telling me it was in Sydney from 9th to 24th.

Charging a premium for their deliveries & taking eternities to get it there.

Nearly 3 weeks for a tiny delivery from Bayswater; metro Melbourne to metro Melbourne & still waiting.

I have ordered a lot of stuff online during the pandemic and delivery has been quite slow. Up to 3 weeks from Sydney to Bendigo. I understand the crazy surge in demand - I imagine it is not just something they can scale up easily to handle. They may be trying to scale up beyond their systems' max capacities. You can only fit so many people or machines sorting packages in a facility - once you have more than a day's worth of parcels coming in each day, backlog is inevitable.

Anyways, they really need to sort the tracking updates. I imagine their customer service people are really overloaded due to the lack of updates. As others have noted, parcels are showing no updates or movement from the place of origin for weeks, then suddenly they are delivered. Sort that and you have much happier customers despite the slow deliveries.

Postage is very strange at the moment that's for sure....

I ordered 2 items from Sydney to the Gold Coast. Both from the same place, at the same time.

One item took 3 days Wow, The 2nd took 2 weeks.... :/

A 3kg package from UAE only took 6 days... :D

LW...

You wlll find that the Aus. post Delivery drivers will only work as as necessary and if parcels are undelivered it goes back into the system-at the back and under the newer items :(

Latest check, my parcel is now in Adelaide as at 0900 this morning and shows estimated delivery of next Tues-Thur. That's 4 weeks so far, bugga, I got on a boat, travelled from Pomland to Aust over 50 years ago quicker than this. :)

Parcel has travelled over 7,100 kms so far

Picked up my delivery yesterday, only took 30 days from Brisbane. The guy at the P.O. said he waited over 10 weeks for a U.K. delivery, so at least the postal workers don't get preferential treatment, lol.

Just received my father's day present from Clancy :) he bought it online and it left NSW on the 1st of September :|

Better late than never, cheeky little :poop: head

Auspost really do need to lift their game, I ordered a product on ebay on the 10/09 from Highet a suburb about 30 minutes drive away, tracking showed it went to Moorabinn and sat there, so yesterday I lodged a lost parcel claim at about 2pm, guess what turned up on my door step at 11:30 am today (Sunday) Coinsidence ?
