Take Care mate,

John

John. They are gentle creatures. I don't usually handle them with only a t shirt and thongs but I was having a quick look to see if the queen was laying and that things were going ok as it was a newly established hive.

Hi GT... is this the Monte Cristo homestead???? Looks very similar, mind you it's been about 25-30yrs (geeez that just made me feel old) since i saw it in person.

According to Google that's a no mate, I can tell you it's right next a river. Was used as a pub for many years. It's funny how buildings built in the same eras look so similar.

 ...Monte Cristo fronted a river/creek as well. Where was it taken if ya don't mind?

~Edit~ OOPS, :8 , just had a bit of a google and seems 25 yrs has jaded my memory and no waterway apparent. Hmmm.
Perhaps i'm thinking of a similar house near Jugiong, or Yass.

Your right, period homes do have similar features, as to be expected and it's no different today as then.

Cheers

I once check a bee hive at approx 45 feet when I accidentally cut through the middle of one in a previous life as a arborist. It's fare to say I have never come down out of a tree so quick in my live. The problem was that the other half of the hive was at the base of the tree waiting for me.. Doctors gave up counting the stings at 150!!!!
