Planning a first time trip to Victoria - any advice?

Yeah I hear ya jethro, as good a little detector the GMT is, it's never gonna compete with the best of the PI detectors out there - especially within the GT area. The trip has really inspired me to concentrate efforts into alluvial prospecting (panning/sluicing) which is where my real passion lies anyhow - so considering selling the GMT and investing the money into getting a good pump (Honda WX15) for when I get my hands on a Walbanker. Once I collect enough yellow then I might consider investing it into a GPX 5000 and do some traveling to the west!
