hi all
how many people out there have projects in the pipe line for the new year
I have a couple
1 build a cabinet set up for my camp and detectors for the back of my wagon
2 build a drag coil set up for my quad

cheers mick

Building a prospecting trailer/camper as had a gut full of climbing a ladder to access my roof top tent.
Van is Delica Spacegear running 3 inch lift.
Trailer first stage is done and ready for first run next week.

Got another canopy for my tray 4wd ute so now I want to make the it a slide on - slide off canopy with a slide in - slide out camper insert. The reason behind this is so the ute can be still be used as a covered or uncovered work ute, make sense?. The camper insert will have fridge on slide, removable kitchen down one side, slide out central area and a storage area, battery box to hold dual batteries down the other side.On top of the canopy there will be a roof rack, shovel, high lift jack holders, awning and solar panel. Underneath the tray will be a 60ltr water tank and another slide out tray for 4wd recovery gear, tools ect. Big job, will have to post photos when I start.
:) Mick

Hi Mick
I have a few projects on the board,
1. Large "Dryblower" aluminium modelled off the keenes one.
2. Small "Dryblower" for sampling, a unit to cart around easily on the quad.
3. Recirculating clean up sluice.
4. Millar table for final clean up.
5. Rock crusher, motorised.
6. Dolly pot for field testing ( machined out of solid 130mm round stock) so there is no where for gold to hide to contaminate test samples.
7. Rack & box on the quad to carry my gear safely.

cheers
Lee

Swing the coil over the New Zealand beach sand a few parks. Get to the beach more down here

if you get your motorised rock crusher off the ground lee it would be good to see
I thought of doing one my self but im a little unsure where to start :)

Hey Mick
No worries, will you need a production size unit or a smaller one, I am looking at something that will take fist size chunks maybe a little bigger ( I am tracking down a reef) do a search on the other forum your on for rock crusher there was a thread with some good pics.
Have you been at it long in the Towers? some local knowledge on reading the ground out there would be good if your keen to give some pointers, info not spots etc (just got onto a bloke with some access but need a little help on the country)
cheers
Lee

hi lee
been doing it for three years now I have done pretty good around the towers in the last 12 mths, around the towers can be hard to read but I look for 3 types of rock and a certain type of ground if the area has all this I most times find a bit also depends where you are goin around the towers too, the country can change very quickly I have lived and worked in around the towers for close to 20 years and been on a lot of places ( not as a prospector)
so if you need help I might be able to help
have a good xmas
mick

Going to have a go at building a wal-banker, could be interesting.... lol. I also want to knock out a few different underwater viewers, and some crevice digging tools.
Will be unleashing my secret weapon on the next trip too, if all goes well i will post photos on the forum, If it goes badly, we will pretend i never mentioned it.

Relocate to Moranbah in Feb

Or plan B, buy jetski and hit Mackay harbour and Whitsundays every weekend lol

Get a new job, exlporation industry is extremely quiet at the moment, although looking at a change in scenery (like anything will do at the moment!). ;)
