I have just looked into it really quickly and ran a couple of tests of my own, I found that exif data is still being stripped out of images that are uploaded directly to the forum. When it comes to externally hosted images though, the removal of exif data is up to the hosting provider as the forum software and admin of this site has no control over that.
I would be interested in knowing the exact method in which your test image was uploaded, just in case there is an image upload scenario / method which is being overlooked in the exif data stripping process.
Cheers,
Nugget

bazza2210 said:I just had a light bulb moment ....
What if when I download the image - I , as the owner are perfectly entitled to receive an unstripped copy which would mean that the data gets stripped for a non owner on the download..... Just a thought.
The way to prove this is to email my downloaded copy to someone else to check and see if my theory is true.
G0lddigg@ would you be up to that - if so PM me your email address
Cheers

Now to have a look if the data is stripped.
I did not edit it as I am relying on the forum software to do it's job.
Tathradj said:I would say that in your case being the rightfull owner, The image is associating with what you see.
After a while of browsing around and a few disk writes the association does not render.
I myself personally and without offense to the forum check every thing I upload.
Some times things go wrong but a simple check straight after uploading any thing is all it takes to keep yourself happy.
Even go as far as running something like CCleaner then rebooting after will show any Gremlins.

Software does get on my goat sometimes. LOL
