Best prospecting finds was I a little dry river bed , ended up with close to 3 ounces in the end once all the dirt was process . I’ve kept some Texas/drake dirt to show my boys on how to sluice . I don’t have pics for my west Oz finds with some larger nugs although just a smudge larger.

19.3grams, my biggest piece and nicest....to me anyway

This was my biggest nugget at 3.22 ozs. The smaller one is probably the prettiest one I have ever found. It was stuck to the side of a piece of quartz and was covered by conglomerate. It came out so shiny.

OK there have been some favorite and PBs nuggets found. How about best day. Here is my 1983 best day. Got 26+ ounces return from these specimen. The solid 4 oz nugget was found else where.

Be better if it was today, monetary wise. Nonetheless wether today or the 80's I reckon the dance and smile would be the same well done thanks for sharing

Best day? A touch over 10 oz. Solo day trip, only detected for about 2 hours! Storm cut me short.

This happened as I was hightailing it out of there, due to warning of road closure from heavy rain. (Went back years later and after two day search of area we had over 2ozs in the jar.
