Thanks for all the comments about this , how about next time I offer some gold specimens I say a discount for not using Paypal ?
They are going to get the the items anyway , I always take full insurance with signature on delivery .

It used to be buyer beware and is now becoming seller beware as the scammer slammers use all the loop holes of the anonymity of the net:D
Funnily enough my business is squeaky clean and has been for decades before Paypal was available and I'd like to think it's more due to my integrity as a person than for any other reason.
The integrity of the operator is what keeps a business clean Paypal just makes money :N:

Well. Just got charged $25US {) by the seller to use PayPal on a $700US sale plus 3c on the $ for PayPal :brokenh: . Using a credit card was $16US. Direct deposit was free.
Felt that. 8.( But still preferred that extra protection.

Direct deposit to the US is not free from Australia - there will be bank transfer fees, plus currency exchange charges.

I thought that would be the case. I know it wasn't going to be as simple as at should. Although the thieving pr!@ks who get hold of your bank details seem to have little problem doing it.
Either way, you're over a barrel.

I thought it interesting his fee to use Palpal, probably takes the sting out of the negative part of it as a seller. But his business is in a fairly unique position to be able to do it. You couldn't do it selling washing powder.
