The monthly members draw ran for many months however I stopped running them due to the increasing amount of time involved in keeping them going. I'm not entirely sure if Harri intends on starting them back up but I'm sure he'll let us know either way.

Might be a good idea if the mods could bring this topic up with Harri under the moderators section, and if he doesn't intend continuing with it to delete the heading "Competitions and giveaways", and maybe replace it with something of use to the members. A dead section within the topics seems a waste of space if no intention to use it is forthcoming. :/

I honestly wouldn't blame Harri for not wanting the hassle of running the giveaways as it can be a royal pain in the ass to organise, especially given the current memberbase. I'm sure he'll let everyone know his intentions in this regard soon enough though.

Competitions are great but its not really what the site's about. Harri hasn't done wrong by anyone to my knowledge so let's continue giving him a fair go and look forward to a bright future.

We have a section in the forum that fills no intended use, and if it is not intended for future use, then an alternative thread could be suggested, either by Harri, or the members, which would encourage members to comment and be actively involved within it.

Nothing has happened within this section for over a year. I'm sure a more useful section could be created, where member input could be better served. Not an unrealistic request I would think.

I wasn't having a crack at anyone
But I am sure as a business owner I know the first 12-24 mths are really difficult and there is not much fat to give away after the outlay you have just done
Also I think it will be all but impossible for the new owner to get support from Aussie suppliers since he is for profit not as you were nugget not for profit and for the community

I have no issue with what you're saying Wal and I'm sure the topic will be handled accordingly in good time, but then again maybe not. My comment of continuing to give Harri a fair go was just a general one and not directly related to this topic.

I was under the assumption that the comps or give away's were donated by forum members, I didn't know that nugget or moderators were dipping into they're own back pockets on top of moderating this site.
So in the nature of being a fair dinkum Aussie, i will throw up some gold for another guess the weight comp, standby while I check the stash :|

Very kind of you DWT, I think there were some member donated prizes but I thought the majority of prizes were donated by sponsors.
