Why not check first if anything has gone from your account, rather than phone??????

They use a program that remote controls
your machine, If you let them.
Don't do it.

It gets interesting when you run two machines at them. O

Painful but write down your contacts list, don't connect it to
a computer to backup.
do a factory reset.

These scams have been going around for a while. How they usually get your password is
they have hacked a site you have created a username and password. Usually site with very little security.
Many people use the same email and password as more secure sites to create accounts.

Just ensure your main accounts i.e banks etc. have a different password to the one you usually use.

But never use a link from an email you have received to change your password.

HI All , just want to get the story out there of something i think is very risky/dodgy.....

I got a p.m from a recent member here offering a GPZ with bits and Pieces for 5k ish...
I emailed and asked were from and it turns out US...
The member's Name is same as a large ebay seller....
Didn't want to use Paypall because they had been hard done, so as "Protection"offered a sales contract
I said no thanks without any sort of protection....

Then a little while later sent me a message saying OK he will send provided i pay shipping..
I responded affirmatively and asked for details about the machine such as serial etc...
He then sent a rude email saying that it was a joke and why would i think he would take the risk.
then sent another email saying he looked me up and seemed reputable so he could do it with a part payment.
I didn't respond , got another email this morning saying he is happy to use Venmo.
Venmo's own website says "Venmo is designed for payments between friends and people who trust each other. Avoid payments to people you don't know, especially if it involves a sale for goods and services (like event tickets and Craigslist items).

Needless to say me response was not very Inviting . I hope you all can learn something about this experience.
