Hi nugget,

Would (appropriate section when pat1 has access) mean he shouldn't have started his original post in the general section anyway. Personally if he is legit or not isn't what I'm confused about.

Sorry I'm really confused with the rules now 'gulp'

Under general:
Posts which appear to have been made with the sole intention of advertising or self promotion will be removed without notice

And the 10 post rule the new membership level.

Don't worry about it, I don't really care now. I'm going back to bed.
Hope everyone has a nice weekend.

Go Hawks :)

Yes you're correct, sales topics should not be started outside of the classifieds section. The only reason I haven't removed this one as yet is because I obviously needed to get to the bottom of things. It will be removed shortly though as the situation has been sorted out.

Nugget,
Please advise how I can go to the advertising pages, thanks.
Pat

Good morning,

Ok some fun has been had with this topic and more importantly Pat1, but seriously why are we even entertaining this Pat1.

I do not mean to be rude, but i paid my membership, I read the rules of the forum, I abide by the rules of the forum and again I paid my membership.

Why is this dude even being allowed to continue with this thread in here.

Even if Pat1 was legit, (which might I add, I personally believe pat1 is not), then why isn't he being directed out of here and into the proper sales area.

Why has a soft approach been taken on a potential buying or selling threat that we all try avoiding daily.

I once thought I was amongst the smartest forum members on the net. What's going on Nugget?

I think caution is the best approach.
I agree with HeadsUp. You can sell gold nuggets at a premium on ebay. You can get even higher premiums in the US, they love Australian Gold!
Personally I have exchanged a litre of sweat for every gram of gold I have found, and an offer under spot is an insult.
Nuggets are rare and valuable, and they are becoming less frequently found.( above 1oz I am referring )
If a buyer is offering below spot for flour gold or micron gold, then that is a different story.
I personally know a couple of gold buyers that have legitimate businesses who I wouldn't entertain negotiating with.
A win win outcome would simply be an impossible achievement.
However if somebody needs the money then I hope things work out with the exchange.
