Ok some fun has been had with this topic and more importantly Pat1, but seriously why are we even entertaining this Pat1.
I do not mean to be rude, but i paid my membership, I read the rules of the forum, I abide by the rules of the forum and again I paid my membership.
Why is this dude even being allowed to continue with this thread in here.
Even if Pat1 was legit, (which might I add, I personally believe pat1 is not), then why isn't he being directed out of here and into the proper sales area.
Why has a soft approach been taken on a potential buying or selling threat that we all try avoiding daily.
I once thought I was amongst the smartest forum members on the net. What's going on Nugget?

To be honest I don't see the problem if Pat1 is legit, if people want to sell and he is buying with real $$$ all is good in my opinion.

I have just upgraded my member account, (after Nuggets advice, have just worked out how to do it, am not real good on computers) and shall advertise there as soon as Nugget confirms.
Time will tell whether I am legit, or not. When you are ready if satisfied then do not hesitate to reply via email.
I have not asked anyone nor received any gold at this time. And until we are all ready, shall not.
However I do understand and agree with the concern at another possible scammer.

But didn't some of us pay for premium membership to allow to sell in the classifieds section and isn't the classifieds section for buying and selling. Not general chat.
Although some of us just paid the extra for premium membership to 'nugget' to help this great forum and to support 'nugget' and the fantastic job he does.
But rules are rules, this forum is fantastic not just because 'Nugget' does a standout job but we abide by the rules.

Morning Lambs, I get what you are saying there, though I paid my premium as you suggested to help with the expenses Nugget needs to keep the place running.
Nugget won't let a scammer last long here, so it would not even be in a scammers best interest to stay here, they will be flicked and probably have the cops called if there is any funny business.
A lot of scammers out there, that's true and sad. I don't think I'd ever sell Gold either unless it was face to face. I'd never buy Sapphire rough online if I was wanting to have it cut.

Mate I think most of us did get a premium membership to help out Nugget. He does a stand out job and probably doesn't get enough credit he truly deserves.
It must be difficult trying to monitor and run the site everyday. Hence why the forum has rules and we just need to be vigilant to those rules.

Agreed Lambs, it's good us members too have the best interests for the forum also and report anything sus immediately to Nugget or a moderator. It's the members that make this a great forum.

pat1 hasn't done anything wrong as far as I can tell. I've done the standard background check to validate his local residency and so like everyone else I'm giving him a chanct to be part of our community.
The reason why he is being directed to the classifieds section is because he clearly wants to buy gold, which in itself is not against the forum rules. Personally I'd be more suspect if he was selling.
Like I said previously I have no reason to doubt this guys intentions and of course he will be removed from the forum the moment I do.

Classifieds as in buying and selling, not like classified information
The decision to include the classifieds section in our premium membership is to provide an additional level of buyer and seller protection for our members in that a spammer usually won't pay to scam.
This topic has turned into more of a general discussion so pat1 will need to start a new one in the appropriate section once he has access.
