Is this the rumoured Minelab-approved GPZ coil?

Not sure mate. It looks like its to suit a 4500 by the picture.

I would guess to suit GPX series simply based on the coil wire thingy that goes up to the control box (I've been sick and for the life of me I can't think of it's name!!). The GPZ coil wire thingy goes up the middle of the shaft.
