Thanks for having a look. The pictures dont look familiar. I have only been there once. By memory after taking the sharp right you will drive up a while and on your right hand side there was a drop off full of crap/rubbish people have dumped. If you drive further up on your right hand side there is a big opening, like a dam, with a track running through it. . A little further up that opening will join a creek. I was parked roughly inline with that. From the sharp right I am guessing approx 500mtrs. But that is a very rough guess. I might try head out there within the next couple weeks for a detect,but not sure about the dig yet. Hopefully by then il have a new pick. Not expecting to find mine.

I went over to Snake Valley and had a look around for over an hour and couldn`t find it.

I reckon i was in the place you described. You travel up Possum Gully road and come to a fork in the road ,where you take a sharp right and the car park spot is about 20 metres up on the right hand side . Is that correct ? Here are some pics of where i was.

If you turned left at kelly road,you would have seen this old bucket.
The CFA have been chopping down alot of trees for the wood coup when it opens. Was this wood there when you were there ?

I reckon if it's been this long Kozi and haven't had the chance to get back there consider it left behind. Hopefully you do get back there and find it one day if not just buy another, we've all done similar things.

At the last meet up I had to revisit the spot where I was the day before where I had left behind a minelab pinpointer. :argh:

I did manage to locate it but it sure was a PITA!

Ward69. I nearly bought the Reptile Gulch garage to live in ,which is across the road from the pub you are talking about.
Your Dad did a good job of grading those roads ,then. Must chat to you about that next time i see you.

Alot of places to detect down that way.
