Hi Everyone,

Base in Brisbane, I spend most of my year-end retreat in melbourne for the past 15 yrs...

Never thought of trying gold prospecting until I start reading about prospecting this year, especially postings this forum... Fever has been building just by reading this forum alone...

Will be travelling to Mel next week and shall hands on this time, appreciate advises from all the experts here on any particular spots around Mel good for panning with high chance of getting colors...

BTW, very respectable folks we have in this forum, willing to share selflessly...

Yes there are some very experienced and generous folk here.

Welcome 38 us mexicans dont usually acknowledge anything above the murray but we know something on the other side exists
You will get colour around castlemaine but not much water around at the moment so pray for some rain

"the duck", any recommendations/comments on spots around eastern melbourne that I typically stay??
Warrandtye, diamond creek, etc?? Consider prospect & water level this time of the year...

Im no expert over that side of town as im in the west havent been up there as it waqs a smaller goldfield, miners den, in camberwell may be worth a call they may put you in a general area
Or some members from that area may be able to help post a new topic in alluvial gold you may have more luck with the other members
