Newbie in narre warren vstrom

Hi to all am new to this forum detector is F1A4 level 2 I'm 49 years old found a couple of bits with it.Just handed in for level 3 upgrade anyone have a level 3 and what do you think of it any feedback will be appreciated will be heading out next weekend to try it out near bealiba.

Hi jaros thanks for the welcome have you found gold with your f1a4 i have got about 3.5 grams 3 bits but think it's lacking on the smaller stuff so now in for level 3 upgrade have been told will be as good as sdc2300 on small stuff and punch deep on big stuff for what the upgrade cost I hope it does what they say can't wait to try it.Have done some test out on fields will keep all posted on results of upgrade.

I haven't actually used it in the field as i have a pretty debilitating back and r/h ankle injury. It did bring me some gold in the way of winning 1.32gm's in a comp. on this forum.
Take it outside for a walk sometimes to listen to it talking to me!! Hopefully get away again soon to the Warwick goldfields when it warms up.
I'll be looking for your test results.

Sorry to hear that I know what it's like broke my back 24 year's ago in dirt bike accident still very sore but at least still out there .No pun intended mate hope you get better soon and start swinging again.

How did you go out at Bealiba this weekend?
Quite a few of us head out to the GT fairly frequently,so let us know when you are heading out that way, some of us could possibly join you
Do you pitch tent or stay in accomodation when you head out ?

Hi mardymoose am heading up to bealiba next weekend was there 3 weeks ago and got a couple bits. A friend of mine has 10 ac block which backs onto state Forrest he has some vans on block no fridges or stoves but beds and water tight great place to kick back at end of day so if anyone wants to join me let me know and we'll organise something my f1a4 level 2 is in for level 3 upgrade at moment been told it will be back before end of week would like to try it out when I get it back.

Great thing about bealiba great base and a lot of the fields right on your door step.

They said before the weekend I normally go Friday afternoon so hopefully pick it up on way through and come back Sunday afternoon .

G'day vstrom I've got .1/.2 bits with my f1 woodymod 1to3inches deep with detech 11/6 mono I think the army coil is as good as detech but can't poke it into spots as well I don't think any detector will find bigs as small as sdc2300 I've found bits that won't weigh on my scales at all different depths cheers all the best

Have been told will be as good as sdc after mods. Hope it's true for cost of upgrade
