Hi everyone - I used to collect stones etc when I was young as my family did a lot of camping. I've recently been watching some Prospecting shows and it has sparked my old passion in a major way. I'm interested in fossicking for gem stones, crystals etc. if anyone can point me in the right direction (live in Darwin) or let me tag along sometime I would appreciate very much! Welcome aboard mate hopefully theres otgers up your way that you can hook up with. Personally id start by looking for gemstone and mineral clubs in your area.

welcome to the forum - there is a club near you the Top End Gem & Mineral Club they meet at Brandt Road Knuckey Lagoon you can contact them on 08 8927 1964.

I used to be a member 40 years ago following Cyclone Tracey & we used to meet at the Presidents house in Mitchell street and had out cutting rooms behind woollies in Kavanagh Street.

There are heaps of places up there where you can collect
