Yep, look forward to seeing how this machine goes in say the Pilbara, or around Leonora.A 3 ouncer close to the surface in unminerlized dirt! Think a deepseeker would have picked that up 35 years ago.
Real test will be here, in WA or the GT.
A funny statement in the manual says to try other modes on inland salt lakes first.Plus around and on the salt lakes.
SALT Mode Designed for use in mineralized areas with wet salt content, primarily for wet saltwater beaches. SALT Mode may also be useful for dry inland salt lakes and goldfields with high salt concentration, depending on moisture content. But it is recommended to first try the other modes for these inland conditions.
Wonder if they think that other modes handle ground so well that salt mode is not nessasary, and would reduce depth?A funny statement in the manual says to try other modes on inland salt lakes first.
Salt mode appears more for wet beach detecting?
Garrett Axiom manual pg12:
Unfortunately for Garrett, prospector experiences here in Oz with their earlier PI detectors are going to prove something of a handicap for the Axiom, even if it is (at last) the real deal.Told by the local Garrett supplier yesterday it’s about a month away. Told him I been trying to sell my 2 ATX’s didn’t even offer to trade them.
Those rumoured Whites patents are certainly a part of what makes the Axiom so interesting, but I doubt that Minelab were interested in acquiring them, as they've been such a distance in front of their US competitors for so long.I think that Garrett has used some technology and patents from White’s. I’d give it a chance before trashing it.I bet Minelab wanted to get their hands on some of White’s patents too. Happy hunting everyone.
There still are phones with removeable batteries. If it was up to me, mine still would have one. It reduces a lot of e waste in the end. It was phased out due so they could make more money, like most things.Your phone doesn't have a removable battery anymore does it? That's because it's actually a very good idea - reduces weight, reduces contact wear and tear and allows more room in the case for a bigger battery. Plus, recharging is via a standard USB plug and pocket power pack can run the machine if the onboard battery is low.
