I recently started collecting coins and silver coins. This is a natural (for me anyway) progression from that, and my 17 year old son is just as keen to start this hobby.
We looked at a Minelab Xterra pro the other day in a Brisbane shop and this will likely be the detector we start out with. At this early stage we will only be seeking coins etc from parks beaches and the like, and hope to eventually start looking for gold.
