New gold is coming!!!

All of us Qlders are getting much wanted rain "yeahaa" . Like normal the rivers have raised 7m overnight increasing 1m every 4hrs hahaha here we go 20m 2moro ...flooded. Seems like im getting my xmas presant after all "fresh gold"...i had to raise my sluice 1inch every 10mins in deep creek yesturday lol.. ended up getting stranded on a big rock in the middle of the creek with 2 scoops to go hahahaha i managed to clean sluice out and bucket it with tight lid indiana style sluice on back with shovel floating down creek hahaha nice dip n got some gold.

Good news for you amphibious propsectors. I'm a detectorist. Raced up here hoping I'd beat the rain to get some detecting in. Might have to search higher ground

Got me down pat prospector b, was fun bit more of a walk back to the car hahaha im going down today to see how the flooding is changing the banks? I was reinforcing a weak part of the bank with overburden i was washing through me sluice....will be interesting to see how it holds up...the floods up here change everything next week it will look totally different." Nuclear bomb"....the top soil is all washing down could be worth a swing nuggetino ..

Sounds like a helluva lot of fun mate. Like the adult version of digging trenches around your sand castles as the tide washes in at the beach I might have to keep an open mind and give this sluicing a crack for a change.

Not a bad idea.. shouldnt limit yourself to just one method of having fun!!lol i can convert my sluice to highbanker when water flow is slow...if no water go for a swing. Ive found way more gold sluicing and panning. Just saying. But finding old relics is also a blast. Happy days keep the fun coming.

Gday yobskin me and a mate were there yesterday and as we pulled up where the path goes over the creek, a big overhang collapsed about 5 ft from me. We got a few little specs and about 5000 tonne of pyrite.

Haha nice. Gota luv the fools gold. Ya have to look for the layer of super fine pyrite it tends to get real dense and sticky like gold, i find gold sits on top when panning. It clogs up my sluice. It was waist deep at that crossing when i was there and moving!!
Were your specs bright or dirty looking??? Was it red clay wash?
Happy you found some colour not many ppl do for some strange reason ive never come home without a fix...

Couple of bright specs and my mate got a couple of dirty ones. And most of it was red clay that was producing.
