Need to finding stones Victoria (help needed)

i have just bought my miners right for Victoria an wondering some good places to find gem stones i heard reedy creeks a good place in Beechworth.

what equipment would i need, id imagine a gold pan a sieve an a shovel an bucket to start off? please keep in mind i ride i motor bike but have a big bag that i have on the back so compact tools would be the go. any input would be apprecaited. also if wouldn't mind private messaging me good places to go find gem stones.
