The olive oil has revealed the identity of the token, its a stockton ferries one. Makes sense, as I recovered it from Stockton beach Prob used in a turn-style, when boarding the ferry between Newcastle and Stocko. Good part of Newy history, this one is identical to mine, it was used in the 1920s.

another beach hunt, got there on the incoming tide with RJ allready at it. Got a gold ring, picked alot of crud off it, and now its soaking....it maybe plated, but I hope not! The other ring is prob silver, both old rings. One of my 5 cents turned out to be a sixpence, neither of the kinder surprises were anything good.
