Another late night beach hunt ... A reasonable low tide and here are the finds...

BCE5A51F-4D50-4222-9F10-8AEBE37DA177_zpsdfwauqux.jpg

A couple of old spoons to add to the growing cutlery collection, 3 x large pennies, 3 x 5 cent, 1 x 1957 Shilling and 1 x 1949 three pence plus the usual amount of junk.

The CTX found some pieces of jewelry but no gold..

2 silver coins - not always a smorgasbord :)

But Team Bogan enjoyed the night just the same!

Hey Paul & Bogan I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate your daily posts. I look every morning to be amazed by your finds. Keep up the good work, I love it!
Thanks Mackka

Thanks Mackka - glad you are enjoying the thread! I wish more members would do the same thing so I thought we would lead by example... :)

On a hunt the other day I found three coins bound together in a rock which I soaked in white vinegar for two days and the coins broke free - a five cent and a one cent was sandwiching a three pence - 1952 - but look at the condition compared to the single 1949 I found last night...

Very strange to have a pre-dec grouped together with later coins, at least the better of the 3 coins got protected from the elements more so than usual. I wonder if there is a solidified layer out there full of coins that have settle down over the years. :)

A miserable wet and color day ... Team Bogan out for a hunt and here are the finds....

Some interesting finds - our first peace pipe - a squid jag - a ten center - a couple of brown buggers and two six pence - a 1949 and another mystery date until clean up - fun? You bet!

Glad you guys braved the elements, I'm staying put in my shed today, can't say you guys aren't dedicated, thats for sure. :)

Only ever found one pipe before on the foreshore at Christies, a fella came along 5 mins later looking for it, so I handed it back. ;)

Here are the silvers we found in the last two hunts

The three pence on the left started crumbling as a was cleaning it - just can't take the electrolysis after being in the sea :(

Must admit too wet for me  . I also spent the day in my shed :) . bloody hard Working in the Kimberley's then coming home to this. freeze for the first couple of days.

I found a couple of jigs a month or 2 back. Actually getting quite a bit of gear together. :D Nice predecimals. I'm yet to find any.

Cliff

Thanks Cliff - rain doesn't bother us - we are getting wet wading through the swells anyway :)

It's amazing - I couldn't find a silver either until I found the first and now it is a rare occur acne that we don't find one... ;)

Hey Mackka

Thanks for asking - I am in New York at the moment and will be here for a month (but I brought the detector) so hopefully I will get a bit of time to explore the grounds at my brothers house built in 1848.

Bogan is waiting for his new sand scoop as His previous shovel (Steve Austin) wasn't cutting the mustard - too many time rock lifting has seen it relegated into retirement but I am sure we both will be posting again soon.

Hey Paul glad to hear you boys are ok. 1848 wow there should be some treasures there, good luck and enjoy the time with the folks.
You eon,t be able to stop Bogan when he gets the new scoop, can't wait.
Have a safe trip and talk soon.
Cheers
Mackka

Yeah I know what you're saying, images are already automatically resized on upload but the larger the original file, the harder the server has to work to resize it. Anyway see how you go with the above and let me know if you need any help.

Cheers,
Nugget
I think your all a bit confused !!! Isn't this a bit off topic ? No wonder I can't see everybody's finds !! There on this post

Hey guys, as PaulMarr said just waiting for my scoop to arrive any day now so I can head back out there. Just putting a ctx video together and will be adding a review on a few books and a few shirt clips on a few of the rings as I pull them out. Got over 50 subscribers and feel I should keep posting videos to help others out there

Well its been awhile but finally the new scoop has arrived! Must say it does get heavy on the arm but I Aslo haven't been out much or at all lately.
Last nights beach session was a good kick start back into. The only down side was my head lamp died about 20 minutes in, but I wasn't about to go home just yet.
No gold but I did score 3 silvers with my oldest being a 1908 British three pence, 1931 florin and a sixpence that needs to be cleaned to see the date. Along with 4 large cents, 1 half cent, 2c, 2 10c , a very large sinker and some odds and ends
