I have owned a Musketeer now for years, but my White's Tdi machines have seen it sit unused for too long. It was my first choice for the vast expanse of dry white beach sand encountered in Melbourne during summer. Before the Tdi I used an Explorer Se Pro in the wet areas. The 800 coil was always a favourite and the 1000 decent enough. That 15' WOT was a bit heavy and awkward. My recent purchase of the Ultimate 13 coil has rekindled my appreciation of the Musky. Just the combination of light weight, size and the way it balances on the machine is magic. I can push the gain to 80% with EMI in the area, if no EMI I can go to 100% without chatter or instability. When I got the coil I did a quick air test to see how it handles EMI and how far I could push the power.

1 grain gold ingot 4cm only detectable in the centre of the coil.
After a bit of swing time it was obvious that the balance of the rig made the coil feel as if it was floating in the air. Again because of the excellent balance the weight of the machine was less noticeable. The coil likes a moderate to fast sweep speed, it has decent coverage so it covers a lot of ground very fast which seems to be it's niche. Wide open parks, sporting grounds or fields, or in my case the beach are what it does best. I can set it up for wet sand but that is what I use the White's Tdi for.
The machine bangs hard on good targets and spits its disapproval on questionable responses. The audio response and my brain act as the discriminator, again making for fast coverage of large areas. An oldie but a goodie, that Ultimate 13 has rekindles my appreciation of a fine machine.
