What do you take when you move? We're on an acre here and the new house in on a 1/4 acre so I guess that means that 3/4's has to go
After borrowing back a trailer that I'd previously built and sold to a friend, I left Capel on Tuesday with the forklift and some sheets of steel and aluminium.
I stopped in Perth and loaded on 30m of pool fence for the house in Geraldton. Like any time you borrow something, something brakes, well this time it was a 10yr old tyre that decided that it had done enough. I can't blame the trailer owner because I must have fitted it 10 years ago :| It wasn't until I arrived in Dongera 550 km up the road that I noticed it had a few too many holes
I loaded the van with several crates of Mrs M's special bottles and a few of those relics that are hard to part with.
The little Metho can is for starting the Companion stove but is a nice little thing on it's own.
My parents gave me the Mandolin when I was a little kid so that will go to my grandkids.
Then it just left a thousand or two bottles
A few too many old treasures...
Lots of automotive manuals...
and a bit of rusty gold that had to go in todays Facebook event sale :/
I dropped the fence in Geraldton then scooted across to Cue where I dropped the forklift and bottles. Then I loaded up the Hilux ute and returned to Perth where I dropped it off for sale. After nearly 2000km in three days the last thing I wanted to see was a few dozen strangers pouring over our old junk but it has to go somewhere. Mre M is having fun and lining her pockets at the same time so I guess it'll all be worthwhile in the end
