Minelab dumping smaller dealers

Prospecting Australia

Holden and Ford were the biggest in Australia for many years. Where are they now. Things change. Can't be that hard to manufacture circuitry these days. There are bad cheap copies around already. Imagine if they got it right. Who would pay the extra thousands? We don't know what changes are coming but things will evolve. I prefer to buy Local products but!!

What makes me laugh 😡😡they still selling in anaconda, johnny Applebee's etc so what the hell , they have no knowledge of industry, they don't sponsor or help with tec info when I'm stuck out the other side of willcania

That's just a sad fact at the moment. Coden is a pretty big company in the field compared to other detector manufacturers, the fact that they are happy to allow others businesses to make add on products for people to use on their detectors with their blessing shows that they probably don't care what the customer thinks about their treatment of the smaller retailers.
Um I don't think they are happy about other manufactures add on products, otherwise they would not put chips in the plugs of the coils for the 7000's and chips in the coils of the 6000's and yes they had heaps of various coils from lots of manufactures for there older 4500's and 5000's and previous GP machines

And they get kinda upset if a (ML) dealer sells other brand detectors, and yes I agree ML detectors are streets ahead of most of the competition, for now, and ML want to keep it that way

It’s un- Australian.
Corporations couldn't give two roots about geographical boundaries, loyalty, history, Aussie pride or anything else for that matter. The world is their market now, thank you WTO (World Trade Organization) and the only thing that matters in that global market is shareholder value. It starts by cutting back on R&D, cheapening of product quality, cost savings and penny pinching at every opportunity, which may include shuttering of dealer relationships in the interest of making a couple extra bucks via in house/direct to consumer sales, (there is no care nor concern for the value add provided by those dealers to customers) and what follows is the share's eventual race to zero at the the bottom of the stock charts and shuttering of the company. I reckon if they'd not had their govt contracts we'd already be at that point. There's just too much cheap quality product out there with just good enough quality to not justify the delta price wise. We're dying off kids....... so will be the need to continue this legacy of Cat quality, it's being replaced by Kubota.

After purchasing several items from Nenad and having an extremely informative chat about detecting during which I learned of his vast knowledge and experience in Minelab detectors and detecting in general, I find it unbelievable that this has happened. Nenad's knowledge portrays to confidence in your purchases. In my opinion Minelab should be supporting Nenad 100%.
Product knowledge is part of good sales and satisfied customers. I would buy from Nenad and others with similar knowledge and experience before anyone else.
I've purchased heaps of stuff from Nenad, he's a true champion in my opinion and hopefully this frees him up for other new and exciting ventures. He's a pillar of this community that has sure been key more than once in my success, be it from his educational videos, tips or the products I've purchased from him.

Now rumour has it, that miners den have also been dropped by minelab.
They also now advertise algoforce and nokta, not sure if they have been dealing with them for a while or not.
Few dealers are getting nervous now.
Well I can tell you that they wont be in business for very long if they are going to be selling only algos and noctas.
How many of those will they need to sell to make the profit of one gpx6000 or gpz7000?

How many serious prospectors are using those two detectors? I have yet to come across one person using them in the Victorian Golden Triangle.

I certainly would not waste my time swinging one of those things, hell its getting hard enough to find gold these days with a 6k & 7k without wasting time with inferior gear.
